Lufthansa earlier today announced a fare sale for the fall that has among some of the lowest prices that we’ll see for flights from the US to Europe during this time of year.
The most impressive fare was the $599.00 special for travel between New York and Moscow. Other fares from NY to most of Europe ranged from $700 to $1000, which is “appropriate” for the this time of year.
As a point of comparison, Oneworld airfares from New York to Moscow ranged from the mid $700 (AirBerlin) to over $1100 (Iberia) for travel in mid September (Source: Kayak.com).
