LUFTHANSA And CATHAY PACIFIC Enter Codeshare Agreement

Lufthansa and Cathay Pacific have announced a new codesharing agreement that will make it easier for Lufthansa Group  passengers to travel to Australia and for Cathay passengers to reach 14 new European destinations.

The deal takes effect on April 26 and covers Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines.

For LH Group passengers, this means they will be able to book travel on a single ticket issued by Lufthansa, Swiss, and Austrian that will include flights operated by Cathay Pacific.    The codeshare specifically includes being able to book travel to Sydney, Auckland, Melbourne, and Cairns.

Traveling to these destinations will now be possible with LH Group flights to Hong Kong, then connecting to Cathay Pacific flights the the aforementioned destinations.
