In a press release today, Lufthansa announced that effective October 31, 2011 any fares that it advertises through its website, email subscriptions, facebook and twitter channels will be quoted as a round trip and inclusive of taxes.
This will be a welcome change. Right now, the fare advertisings are based on a one way fare, not including taxes. This led to the fares looking very low if one initially assumed that to be a round trip fare.
Glad they’re doing this. Quoting fares as Round Trips including taxes will be a welcome change for Lufthansa fare watchers!

I remember when United used to do this (at least when looking at flights on the site), but than they realized everyone else was doing base fare and moved to that. It will be great when all the airlines move back to this, +1 to Lufthansa for doing it before they have to.
