Lufthansa has launched a fare sale between now and April 1 for travel from the USA to Germany during Spring.  The fares are decent, and are appropriate for this time of year.   Why not take advantage of them and enjoy Spring in Germany, eventually all the snow that they had recently will melt and Spring will finally arrive!

As a result of this sale,  Lufthansa fares are lower than most other competitors and are especially attractive to some of the smaller cities in Germany such as Dresden, Dusseldorf, Bremen, Nuremberg etc.  For example, New York to Dusseldorf starts from $759 (round trip/all inclusive).   I looked up several sample itineraries and in most cases Lufthansa’s fares came out as the best.

The fares are valid for travel on Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian, Brussels, Air Canada and United.   Be mindful of this when booking and be aware of who will be operating the flight as it can potentially have an impact on the miles that you earn for your Frequent Flyer account.
