Beginning with this Winter’s timetable, Lufthansa will be launching hourly shuttle flights between key destinations within Germany.
The Shuttles will operate from Frankfurt and will serve Hamburg, Munich and Berlin. Initially the shuttles will run hourly between 6:00am and 8:00pm. During peak morning and evening hours, each of these destinations will have 2 flights depart Frankfurt each hour.
The schedule will have flights departing Frankfurt for Hamburg and Munich “On The Hour” meaning that flights will depart at 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 etc. Flights from Frankfurt to Berlin will depart at 45 minutes past each hour.
I like the simplicity of this. Until now, departure times for these key German destinations were scattered throughout the day without any pattern. In some cases, such as Frankfurt-Munich, there will actually be an increase in frequency of flights.
