Recent annoucements regarding upcoming route changes. Not many in either Skyteam, Oneworld or Independents so I combined them this time:

ONEWORLD:

Cathay Pacific

Effective June 2012, will being introducing Premium Economy Seating on their Boeing 747’s. Initial service will be 3x/week betweeen London(LHR)-Hong Kong(HKG). Effective July 1, the service becomes daily.

Also during Summer 2012, premium economy will be introduced on their 777’s on the same route.

In addition, Boeing 777’s with Cathay Pacific’s new business class seating will be rolled out on the following routes throughout their Summer timetable:

Chicago(ORD)-Hong Kong(HKG): Daily (effective Mar 25)
Hong Kong(HKG)-Johannesburg(JNB): Daily (effective June 2)
Hong Kong(HKG)-New York(JFK): Flt CX830/831 will be 4x/week, Flt CX840/841 will be daily.
Hong Kong(HKG)-Toronto(YYZ): daily

American Airlines

Effective January 30, is canceling 1x/day service between Chicago and Calgary. There is no indication when or if the route will be resumed.

SKYTEAM:

Delta

Canceled previously planned 4x/day service between Los Angeles-Denver. The route was previously scheduled to start June 7, 2012.

Effective April 7 will begin 1x/week (Saturday) service between Atlanta-Port au Prince, Haiti.

Air Europa

Canceled previously planned service between Madrid-Cartagena. The service was previously scheduled to start July 3, 2012.

INDEPENDENT:

Emirates effective June 2012 will begin 1x/day service between Dubai and Ho Chi Minh. The route will be flown by Airbus A330’s.
