Lufthansa has announced another new destination for their A350.
Beginning March 25, passengers can now enjoy the A350 on flights between Munich and Chicago. The A350 will replace the Airbus A346 that currently flies the route.
The flights that are affected are LH434 from Munich and LH435 from Chicago.
Does that mean no First class anymore on ORD-MUC flights? If so, that totally sucks!!!
And if this is true, why is Lufthansa continuing to sell first class seats on 2019 ORD-MUC flights?
Yes and no. For now this looks like a seasonal rotation so we should see 4 class birds back for ORD MUC. But long term, I think you’ll see less and less LH F, especially for utilitarian routes like ORD BOS NYC, etc. They’ll save the F product for Asia.
Do you know if Lufthansa plan to base some A350s at FRA? If so I can easily see them replacing 744s on several lower revenue routes.
Yes, later A350s will begin to replace the A340s at first.
yes, at some point we’ll see A350s in FRA.
Wow, that sucks huge. Myself and three others are booked on this flight in a few months. Instead of each of us having a aisle or window, there’s lots more middle seats for everyone. The 3x3x3 configuration is just awful. Well, thanks for the heads up.
sorry, it works out badly in your case. Maybe try moving up to prem eco with an upgrade bid? Assuming you’re on a revenue ticket?
