Lufthansa and Austrian are currently offering yet another great miles earning opportunity for Miles and More members. I didn’t have time to add this to my previous note earlier today when I talked about double miles to Jeddah and Rio. This time the promotion works like this:
Book and fly a roundtrip To Japan, Korea or China (Hong Kong included) and earn 50% more award miles for the journey. Book and fly a second roundtrip to the same region and for that second roundtrip you’ll earn 100% more award miles.
Example: Frankfurt – Hong Kong (going to be there myself in a couple of weeks!)
1st Round Trip : 11,380 base miles + 5690 bonus miles = 17,070 total miles
2nd Round Trip : 11,380 base miles + 11,380 bonus miles = 22,760 total miles
If you happen to take these 2 round trips, you’ll end up with 39,830 total award miles and be well on your way to a free ticket.
