LUFTHANSA Changes Its Mind About Boston And The A350

LUFTHANSA Changes Its Mind About Boston And The A350

Two weeks ago, Lufthansa updated their Winter Timetable which reflected the removal of the A350 from their Munich-Boston route.   The removal was slated for October 29, at which point a mix of A330 and A340 aircraft were scheduled to take over on the route for the winter.

With their update today, Lufthansa has walked back that decision and has extended the A350’s presence on Munich-Boston through the entire winter schedule.   However it will not be a daily basis.

The A350 will fly the route daily until December 1.    Then beginning on December 2, the A350 will only fly the route on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.   The A340-600 will fly the route on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Expect further tweaks to their timetable in the coming weeks.

LUFTHANSA USA Long Haul Update For Winter 2017/18 – A350 removed from Boston

LUFTHANSA USA Long Haul Update For Winter 2017/18 – A350 removed from Boston

Lufthansa has begun updating their Winter 2017/18 timetable by announcing service changes to Boston, Miami, and Chicago.

First off, Munich-Boston will no longer have the A350 on the route beginning on October 29.    Starting on October 29, until December 1, an A330 will fly the route each day.    Beginning on December 2, and lasting until March 24, 2018, the A330 will fly the route on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday while the A346 will fly the route on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

A nice benefit to those of you flying the A346 will be the fact that you can book a first class seat for the cost of a business class seat since LH is technically not offering First Class on the route.    Though you’ll have a first class seat, your inflight service will be business class, and no, you will not be able to access the First Class Lounges in Munich!

Between October 29 and March 25,  Chicago will only see the A346 on flights to and from Munich.   Currently LH is sending a combination of A333 and A346 aircraft on the route.

Miami will see a combination of the A346 and A333 beginning October 30.   The A346 will fly the route on Wednesday and Sunday, while the A333 will fly the route on the other days.

LUFTHANSA Brings Back First Class To The Mile High City……

LUFTHANSA Brings Back First Class To The Mile High City……

After removing First Class from flights between Munich and Denver on December 2, 2016, Lufthansa is set to bring back their best cabin to the Rocky Mountain destination.

Beginning on May 1, Lufthansa brings back the A346 on the route which allows for First to be back on the timetable.   Lufthansa currently flies the A333 on the route which does not offer First Class.  Expect this to be in place through at least the Summer timetable.

It would be no surprise if the A350 begins to serve Denver later this year which would once again eliminate First Class since the A350 is not equipped with the ‘F’ cabin.

This change has no impact on the 744 service between Frankfurt and Denver.
