AUSTRIAN To Fly Austria’s Olympic Team To Sochi

 

 

 

a snowy mountain range with olympic ringsAUSTRIAN announced today that it will be the official carrier for the Austrian Olympic Team for the 2014 Olympics.   According to ‘OS’, this continues to the relationship that the airline has cultivated with Austrian Olympic Committee over the last 21 years.  The agreement between AUSTRIAN and the Austrian Olympic Team was signed in Vienna on 10 December.

It will take 13 non-stop flights to Sochi to carry the Austrian Team, their equipment, trainers and other government and Olympic officials to the games.   In the past, Austrian has transported Austria’s athletes to the Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Albertville, Barcelona, Sydney and Salt Lake City.

LUFTHANSA Begins Installation Of New Business Class on A380 Fleet

 

Lufthansa has begun installation of it’s new business class cabin in its A380 fleet this week.   The first Airbus A380, D-AIMF or “ZURICH” has gone into maintenance and will be retrofitted over the next 2-3 weeks.

Based on previous info from LH, the Business Class seats/units will be parallel to each other on the A380 whereas on the 747-8i each seat pair turns inward towards each other.

Additionally the aircraft will under go other routine maintenance so that she is back in the air as good as new.  “ZURICH” entered service with LH  on October 18, 2010.

LUFTHANSA’s First Class Terminal Now On Twitter

 

Lufthansa today has launched a dedicated TWITTER account specifically for the First Class Terminal in Frankfurt.  Subscribers will be kept up to date with news and information as it relates to FCT.  Additionally, the account will be able to interact and reply to questions posed by Lufthansa’s First Class Passengers and HON Circle members.
