Just a reminder that the Lufthansa Business Class Fare Sale that I mentioned back in January ends today! The sale is valid for travel during most of the summer and well into the fall.
Most fares between the East Coast and a variety of European destinations range from the low to mid $2000 range, while the central US and west coast ranges between $3000 and $4000. There are a few anomalies like Detroit-Rome which is pricing at $4400 but that is exception and not the rule for this sale.
The valid travel dates for this promo are as follows:
Departures must take place between June 25 and August 29, 2015.
Return Travel must take place between July 7 and November 29, 2015.
Fares are valid for Monday through Thursday travel. Weekends will incur a surcharge.
Be mindful when you book your tickets since the operating carrier can be Lufthansa, Austrian, SWISS, Brussels, Air Canada or United. My suggestion is to focus on the first 4 carriers that I mentioned. You won’t regret it!

Lufthansa provided an update on Friday indicating that all of their long haul aircraft based in Munich (Airbus A330 & A340) now feature the new First Class cabin.
In all, 24 MUC-based aircraft now have the new cabin. Next up for the fleet will be the completion of the Premium Economy cabin install, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
I expect LH to release their monthly fleet retrofit report in the next few days which will provide additional detail on their progress.

Effective immediately Lufthansa is testing a new concept that will feature ‘Nespresso’ machines at selected gates in Frankfurt and Munich. The trial is set to last for 3 months and if successful we will see an expansion of the program.
As it stands now, the trial begins in Frankfurt today specifically at gates A1 – A10. The trial will begin in Munich on March 6 at Gates 23, 24 and 34.
There will be a €1.50 charge per cup and passengers will need to present their boarding pass.
