Toronto – St. Maarten effective December 20 will increase from 1x/week to 2x/week (service transferred to ROUGE).
Vancouver – Las Vegas effective October 26 will increase from 1x/day to 2x/day.
Vancouver – Los Angeles effective October 26 will be reduced from 4x/day to 3x/day.

Montreal – Denver effective July 1 is CANCELED.

Each month, Miles & More creates a large inventory of deeply discounted award travel for members and consolidates them on their Meilenschnäppchen website. For those of you with a bit of flexibility and not picky about destinations, you can find some great deals with this program.
The attractive part of the Meilenschnäppchen program is the fact that you can save upwards of 50% of your valuable miles. For example, a typical Business Class award booking between the USA and Europe will cost 105,000 miles. Under a Meilenschnäppchen offer, the rate comes down to 55,000 miles. For an economy ticket that normal takes 60,000 miles, you can book a ticket for only 30,000 miles.
Most of the June offers require that you book travel by June 30 and that travel takes place in October. Just remember that as the month goes on, the deals will start to disappear as Lufthansa limits the amount of these deeply discounted deals. However, there are literally 100’s of possibilities still available!
If you find yourself short of miles, you may want to consider applying for the Barclay Premier Miles & More World MasterCard. Currently there is a special promo taking place until the end of June that will award new accounts up to 50,000 miles (20,000 after first use, and 30,000 more after spending $5,000 on the card during the account’s first 90 days). With this current deal, you would have enough miles for a Business Class ticket fairly quickly!

In the spirit of the World Cup, Lufthansa has officially released the first photos of the World Cup Duck that will be available to passengers who visit Lufthansa’s First Class Lounges in Germany as well as the First Class Terminal in Frankfurt.
The duck will be available ONLY during the World Cup Tournament and while supplies last. Another reason to fly in front of the plane!
I got a peek at it a few weeks ago when I was at the FCT, but I did not want to spoil LH’s surprise! 🙂
