For those of you in a position to take advantage of a 1 day fare special from Vienna, you can book Vienna-Dusseldorf for €99 or Vienna-Lviv for €129. Travel must be booked by Midnight July 2 and travel must occur between July 6 and 9, making it a decent weekend “getaway” fare.
From other Austrian cities, the fares to to these two destinations are €50 higher. Seats are limited so if you can take advantage of the fare sale, please go to Austrian’s website to take advantage of the offer.

Lufthansa’s next 747-8i, D-ABYC, is slated to take off from Paine Field in Everett, Washington and head for her new home in Frankfurt where she’ll enter service on flights to India in the near future.
The flight will operate as LH9875 and is scheduled to depart at 12:11a Pacific Daylight Time and arrive in Frankfurt at 6:01p on Sunday July 1. For some of you, by the time you read this, she may already be in Frankfurt…..

In a very close match, determined by a difference of only 2 votes, Singapore has edged out Hong Kong to win this year’s Airport World Cup. I thought Hong Kong would have had an easy time of it, but Singapore voters rallied late and gave Singapore the edge.
