Are Airlines Treating YOU Better?

In an interesting article today from the Associated Press, it appears that the airline customer experience is improving and people are generally happy with their airlines. A key improvement was the ability for airlines to operate their flights on schedule about 80% of the time and to improve their lost luggage statistics.

The study, conducted by private researchers measured the metrics in the following categories (based on federal data):

Lost Bags
Flight Delays
Customer Service
Involuntary “bumps” from flights

I suspect that a relatively mild winter helped with passenger happiness especially at airports like Chicago and those in the northeast that generally have their challenges during the winter.

What about you? Are you happier today than you were a year ago with your air travel???

Unfortunately this is not the first time that the airline has been involved in a tragedy. Six passengers died in a crash on March 17, 2007.
