It took nearly a month to locate and recover the black boxes from EGYPTAIR 804 that crashed into the Med on May 19 and unfortunately it has not yet been possible to extract any data.

After the boxes were recovered on June 16, they were worked on by the Egyptian aviation ministry for the last several days without success.   According to the authorities, the chips containing the data may be too far gone with salt damage to ever yield any answers as to why the plane crashed.

Because of this lack of success, the boxes are being shipped sent to the French BEA for further work to take place on the data chips containing the information that may offer clues as to what happened to the flight.

It’s widely speculated that a terrorist event took the plane out of the sky, but unusually, no one has taken credit for the crash.
