For the month of June, members of Miles & More can take advantage of tremendous savings when it comes to booking trips virtually anywhere in the world using their mile balances. Book travel during June for travel between June 8 and July 16 and you can save from 30-50% off of Miles&More award ticket redemption chart for a round trip ticket. If you’re thinking about a last minute, long weekend to Europe this may be your best chance of the summer!
For example, a roundtrip economy award ticket from New York’s JFK to most European destinations usually requires 60,000 miles, but now you can book the same trip for 38,000 miles. A roundtrip business class ticket to Europe from the US that normally takes 105,000 miles now only takes 55,000 for the same trip departing from Atlanta, Boston, Detroit or Philadelphia.
There are pages and pages of combinations including great Business Class deals from Germany to Asia and other parts of the world. For example, fly roundtrip from Germany to Hong Kong or Tokyo in business class for only 70,000 miles! Normally, that trip would require 135,000 miles – nearly a 50% savings!!
Other great economy class deals:
Berlin-Reykjavík (R/T): 10,000 miles (normally 30,000 miles)
New York(JFK)-Venice (R/T): 36,000 miles (normally 60,000 miles)
New York(JFK)-Istanbul (R/T): 36,000 miles (normally 60,000 miles)
Visit the Miles&More fare promotion website for more. The website allows you to pick your originating country, and will display the destination options available to you under this promotion.
This promotion applies to Lufthansa, LOT, Austrian, Swiss and Brussels Airlines operated flights.
Keep in mind that Miles & More is also holding a 20% bonus award mile sale on purchased miles, so if you need a few miles to top off your accounts to take advantage of this great deal, visit this link for more information.
HansGolden: you can transfer SPG points to M&M for example.
Stephan: points expire after 3 years and only if you don’t have status or don’t use a M&M branded CC.
Don’t forget that M&M points expire and that there is nothing you can do about it.
While the Business Class deals are always nice, the economy is as much of a ripoff as it usually is – considering the YQ and taxes paid will often be quite comparable to promotional fares alone.
Especially if you value the mile at 2 euro cents, as per the “great” promotion that M&M has (even more frequently then US Airways giving away miles).
Is M&M transfer partners with anyone, like Amex MR?
Unfortunately nothing like MR or UR, but here’s a link showing all of their partnerships. They have their M&M credit card available as well:
