Lufthansa has launched a First Class fare sale that will save travelers 30-50% off of their typical prices for a First Class ticket between the USA and Europe. So if there is ever a time to treat yourself to Lufthansa’s outstanding First Class product (both on the ground and in the air), this may be it!
Based on fare prices, travel to London is the best value during this sale with most fares from the USA ranging from $4193.00 from the East Coast to approximately $5500.00 from the West Coast. Flights to London have a connection via Frankfurt. Other fares from the East Coast to most European destinations are in the $5900-$6300 range and $7000-$8000 from West Coast gateways.
Additionally, flights can be operated by United or Swiss and qualify for the fare promotion. In the terms and conditions, it also included Air Canada and Austrian, but they do not offer a specific First Class cabin as Lufthansa, United and Swiss do, so travel on those carriers will be in their Business Class cabins since their long-haul aircraft are set up in 2-cabin configurations. So be mindful of the operator of the flights as you are booking your ticket!

For the month of June, members of Miles & More can take advantage of tremendous savings when it comes to booking trips virtually anywhere in the world using their mile balances. If you have not done so already, make sure you enroll for the 2012 edition of the “myChoice” promo from Miles & More.
This promo allows you to select one route that will earn you double award OR status miles for economy fares booked on the route and triple award OR status miles for business class fares booked on that route.
Keep in mind that your selection is a “one time” only decision and you can not change it during the promotion’s period which runs from May 1 to December 31. There is no limit on the amount of trips you take on your selected route and it counts in both directions (i.e. FRA-LHR-FRA).
