To meeting increased capacity demand, Lufthansa will bring the A340-600 into service on flights between Munich and Berlin for several days ahead of Christmas.
These ‘special’ A340 flights will be in addition to the regularly scheduled service already in place between Munich and Berlin.
The A340-operated flights are as follows:
December 20: LH2036 departs Munich at 11:00a, arriving in Berlin at 12:10p
December 20: LH 2037 departs Berlin at 1:00p, arriving in Munich at 2:10p.
December 21: LH 2724 departs Munich at 5:30p, arriving in Berlin at 6:40p.
December 21: LH2725 departs Berlin at 7:20p, arriving in Munich at 8:30p.
December 22: LH2624 departs Munich at 5:25p, arriving in Berlin at 6:35p.
December 22: LH2625 departs Berlin at 7:20p, arriving in Munich at 8:30p.

SWISS has launched a fantastic fare sale for First and Business Class travel that permits 2 passengers to travel for the price of 1!
The sale covers flight to Asia, The Middle East, and Africa but there is one caveat: You have to depart and arrive from one of 3 French Airports including Paris Charles Degaulle, Nice, or Bordeaux. However, this fare sale is way worth that minor inconvenience!
For example, 2 of you can fly from France to Johannesburg (via ZRH) in for €5200. You can reach destinations in Asia for as little as €2400 if you’d like to fly in First Class to Hong Kong!
The Business Class sale is equally as attractive. You can reach Rio de Janeiro for only €1300 or Mumbai for only €1150/roundtrip per person. Many other destinations come in at the same price points.
Please note, to get these prices you have to book 2 passengers onto the same itinerary. If you try to book the ticket for yourself only, you’ll be quoted the regular fare price. So find a friend, family member, or polite stranger and enjoy the First Class ride.
As far as the terms and conditions are concerned:
- You must purchase your ticket by December 18, 2017
- Your travel must be completed by October 31, 2018
- A minimum stay of 3 to 5 nights is required (varies by destination)
- Tickets are non-cancellable and non-refundable.
- 2 Passengers must travel on the same itinerary.
I’ve flown in SWISS First Class a few times over the last handful of years and can genuinely say it’s one of the best experiences that I’ve ever had when traveling.

Mileage Plus has launched a quick, 24 hour ‘Cyber Tuesday’ deal for miles for their members.
Until midnight tonight, anyone that buys at least 20,000 miles for their Mileage Plus account will be credited with a 100% bonus. Usually the 100% bonus is reserved for higher amounts, but not in this case.
At the 20,000 mile threshold, it will cost $700.00 for the miles. With the 100% credit, you’ll wind up paying only 1.75 cents per mile. The cost per mile stays the same once you are at the 20k breakpoint. There are no further CPM discounts for higher mile amounts.
If you buy between 5000 and 9000 miles, you’ll get a 40% bonus, and if you buy between 10,000 and 19,000 miles you’ll get a 60% bonus.
Remember, the deal ends tonight at midnight.
