LUFTHANSA Gets Its 3rd A350

Lufthansa has taken delivery of their 3rd Airbus A350, D-AIXC, in Toulouse, France today.    The aircraft is scheduled to be flown to Munich tomorrow where after a short period of fine tuning, will join ‘XA’ and ‘XB’ in daily service.

The delivery of the latest A350 makes it possible for Lufthansa to begin using the A350 on its Munich – Mumbai beginning on April 15.  Ultimately 25 A350s will join the fleet and will be stationed between Frankfurt and Munich, as aircraft such as the A340 are phased out.

€20 Voucher Offer Between Shannon And Frankfurt

€20 Voucher Offer Between Shannon And Frankfurt

To mark the beginning of new service between Shannon, Ireland and Frankfurt, Lufthansa is offering passengers a €20 voucher good specifically for this route.

The voucher is available from now until April 16, 2017.   In order for the voucher code to be valid, travel must take place between April 29 and October 29, 2017.

Flights must be operated by Lufthansa or Lufthansa Cityline.

LUFTHANSA And CATHAY PACIFIC Enter Codeshare Agreement

Lufthansa and Cathay Pacific have announced a new codesharing agreement that will make it easier for Lufthansa Group  passengers to travel to Australia and for Cathay passengers to reach 14 new European destinations.

The deal takes effect on April 26 and covers Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines.

For LH Group passengers, this means they will be able to book travel on a single ticket issued by Lufthansa, Swiss, and Austrian that will include flights operated by Cathay Pacific.    The codeshare specifically includes being able to book travel to Sydney, Auckland, Melbourne, and Cairns.

Traveling to these destinations will now be possible with LH Group flights to Hong Kong, then connecting to Cathay Pacific flights the the aforementioned destinations.
