SWISS Makes It Easier To Book Group Travel

SWISS Makes It Easier To Book Group Travel

SWISS has announced an improved way for booking group travel on Swiss.com.  Groups of 10 or more can now book travel directly on Swiss.com and benefit from these enhancements:

View flight availability and group pricing over a range of dates.

Have tickets issued immediately or a later point (up to a date specified by Swiss at time of booking).

Have the flexibility to add and remove individuals within the group until 72 hours prior to departure or prior to tickets being issued (a deadline date will be provided by Swiss at time of booking).

The new group booking process is available to passengers traveling in Economy Saver, SWISS Saver and SWISS Business fare classes.

Additionally, the person responsible for the group booking will have around the clock access to the reservation to make any changes, eliminating the need to call the customer service center during their business hours.

Booking group travel can be done through the standard Swiss.com booking website.   You simply indicate the size of your group in the “passenger” field.

There are a few conditions that come with this program:

Flights must be operated by SWISS (can be one way or roundtrip).

The Group must have at least 10 passengers, with one being an adult.

Infants must be accompanied by adults.

For groups over 40 individuals, you will need to fill out this booking request form and submit it to Swiss.

germanwings Strike Averted

A quick update on what had the potential to be another paralyzing strike for Lufthansa.   In a last minute deal, UFO, the union representing germanwings’ cabin crew and airline representatives reach an agreement that will remove the possibility of a strike.   A threat of a strike had been looming since employees voted in favor of one, however at this point cooler heads prevailed and there will be no strike.   The settlement offer still needs to be voted upon by the union membership however it is expected to be ratified.
