That’s not a typo….
Lufthansa has launched a fare sale targeting the Nordics with amazing deals. By far and away the best pricing is from Boston which has the lowest fare of the sale with a $349 deal to Copenhagen. On a per mile basis, Seattle comes in with an attractive value to Stockholm for only $469!
Aside from these good deals, most fares to the Nordics from the East Coast range in the $500-600 range and from $700-900 from the West Coast.
Before you say anything about traveling to the North when its the middle of Winter, ask yourself when was the last time you saw the ‘Northern Lights’ light up the evening sky as if it were day? Or where else on the planet can you take in the quiet beauty of Winter that is only possible in Scandinavia? Keep in mind that it’s ‘off season’ as well, so there will be great deals to be had on lodging as well. Like those Hotels made out of Ice for example!
The terms are as follows:
Tickets must be purchased by December 31, 2016
Tickets must be purchased at least 10 days ahead of depature date
You can depart between December 24 and April 6, 2017
You must return by October 6, 2017
If you book travel on Weekend Day you may be subject to a $60 surcharge.

Lufthansa is running a deal until midnight tomorrow that allows you to book a Premium Economy seat from Munich or Frankfurt to New York (JFK or EWR) for approximately €650.
Unfortunately the deal does not work ex-NYC but Prem Eco fares are only $1200-1300 from this side of the pond for the same travel period.
The deal has a narrow travel window. Travel must take place between January 30 and March 31, 2017 and a Saturday night stay is required.

For those of you who have yet to decide how or where you’ll spend Christmas this year, SWISS gives you compelling options.
SWISS is currently holding fare specials for Business and First Class from the USA to most of their destinations throughout Europe.
Pricing is attractive!
For example you can fly SWISS Business for only $2050 between NYC and Venice or Barcelona. From Chicago the fare moves up to only $2300-$2700 for most European destinations.
For those of you compelled to spoil yourself and fly in First Class (read about my experiences), you can fly from New York to most of Europe for under $5000, and between $5000 and $6000 from most of SWISS’ other USA gateways. To push you over the edge, here’s look at their fantastic First Class Lounge that opened earlier this year in Zurich.
Economy fares are also attractive, but not as compelling as the premium cabin options!
The travel period for these specials is restricted to the last 2 weeks of December, but what a perfect time to get to Europe to enjoy the fantastic Christmas markets……
