2 Days Left For Lufthansa Premium Economy Sale

2 Days Left For Lufthansa Premium Economy Sale

Lufthansa’s Premium Economy Sale comes to an end on February 19.    Some decent prices exist for several destinations throughout Europe.

One of best deals is a $969 offer between Tampa and St. Petersburg Russia.   Otherwise most European destinations from the East Coast range in the $1200-1350 range and the rest of the US to Europe runs anywhere from $1500-1900.    The East Coast fares are the most attractive since they rival economy fares during ‘high’ seasons.

For you money,  you get a better seat, more legroom and an overall better experience than Economy.   I’ve ‘tested’ the Premium Economy seat on flights between Frankfurt and Johannesburg and even after 10 hours each way, had very little to complain about and would do it again.

As far as rules go, departures must take place by March 17,2016 and return travel must be completed by June 17.   Tickets need to be purchased 14 days in advance of departure.   A $60 weekend surcharge may apply for Friday / Saturday / Sunday travel.

LUFTHANSA 72 Hour Fare Sale For Intra-Euro, Asia, and Mideast Travel

LUFTHANSA 72 Hour Fare Sale For Intra-Euro, Asia, and Mideast Travel

Lufthansa is running a 3 day deal where they’ve loaded more ‘Light’ fares for travel within Europe as well as from Europe to destinations in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

As far as the intra-European portion is concerned, most tickets range between €99 and €129 for departures from Germany.   Be mindful that these fares are booking into the ‘Light’ fare class so checked baggage would come at an additional cost.

For the ‘Intra-Europe’ part of the sale, tickets must be purchased by February 14.   Departures must take place between February 12 and June 30 while return travel must take place between February 19 and September 30.

For the international part of the sale, there are some great deals to take advantage of.   For example, Frankfurt – Johannesburg can be had for only €579, Bangkok for €549, Hong Kong for €549 and Delhi for €499.    There are a lot of other deals to be had for international travel.

The rules for the international fares are as follows:  Tickets must be purchased by February 23 and departures must take place between February 19 and June 30.  Return travel must take place between February 19 and September 30.

Remember that you can now use the new myOffer upgrade program on eligible international flights to upgrade from an Economy Class seat to Premium Economy.   For details and steps, please visit the myOffer webpage

LUFTHANSA Eurowings / CityLine Announcements For USA Market

LUFTHANSA Eurowings / CityLine Announcements For USA Market

Over the past few days, Lufthansa has released several announcements as it relates to their CityLine and Eurowings operations in the USA.   Unfortunately most of the announcements dealt with delays in service.

To start things off, Lufthansa has delayed the launch of their CityLine service between Frankfurt and San Jose, California.   Flights were to begin on April 29 but have now been delayed until July 1.   Plans still call for 5 flights per week.

Eurowings service between Cologne and Las Vegas has also been delayed.   Originally set to begin on May 4, service has now been postponed to June 1.    Plans still call for 2 flights per week.

Lastly, LH has announced a change to plans concerning Frankfurt – Atlanta being transferred to CityLine.    Originally LH was going to transfer the route from their mainline division to CityLine in April, and operate it until June.  However the latest update now has CityLine operating the route from March 2 to October 29.
