SWISS is celebrating Weltspartag (World Savings Day) with a voucher giveaway that will give away 1000 vouchers. For bookings being made for European travel, the voucher is good for €20. If you are booking an international flight, the voucher can be redeemed for €80.
You’ll have to hurry. Once the 1000 vouchers are claimed, the promo is over!
When booking use the appropriate ‘code’ at checkout:
For Euro travel, use code SWISSEUROPASPARTAG2016.
For International bookings, use code SWISSWELTSPARTAG2016.

SWISS is running an Economy Class fare sale for travel between their USA gateways and most of Europe with fares starting as low as $630.
The sale covers a large window of travel that is open through May 2017. The only blackout period for the fare sale is over the Christmas holiday (December 14-23) otherwise there is plenty of inventory.
The best fares are predictably from the East Coast where Boston to Amsterdam can be booked for only $630. Fares from New York to most SWISS destinations in Europe range between $750 and $900.
From the West Coast, the best deal is to Paris which can be booked for only $750 from Los Angeles or San Francisco.
Based on the info I have, I don’t know when the fare sale ends but I can say that a Saturday night stay is required in order to receive the best fares.

Expanding on their initial ban of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 aboard flights between the US and Europe, Lufthansa has now banned this ‘Smart Tinderbox’ from all flights on their timetable worldwide. The Lufthansa bans cover the phone being brought into the cabin and as well as being place in checked luggage.
The expansion of the ban comes after the FAA has made it a Federal crime to bring the phone aboard any flight operating to, from, or within the USA. Offenders are subject to civil penalties of up to approximately $180,000. Don’t even try to ship it via Air Mail, that’s been made a crime as well!
The ban applies to all Lufthansa Group Airlines and is effective immediately.
