Delta And US Airways Among Potential Suitors For American Airlines

Saw this interesting piece on the newswire today:

Looks like Delta Airlines and US Air are looking at potential bids for AMR. Now that would make for interesting combinations. What are your thoughts???

On an unrelated topic, I’m flying LH for the very first time and wondered the following:

1) How is their business class on that flight from FRA-DFW?

2) Is there a seat worth checking out?

3) Do I have any type of lounge status either in TXL/FRA or DFW for flying business class?

I’d prefer USAIR but I’d prefer AA emerge leaner (getting out of old lease deals and bad contracts) with an attractive and updated fleet.
