Thanks To Delta Points for forwarding this new release. I had been busy in the real world today in a place with no internet access (can you believe it?) and had little time to enjoy my blogger alter ego.
Lufthansa will have to cope with additional flight cancelations on Friday after workers at Frankfurt’s Airport have another strike scheduled to take place between 8:00am and 10:00pm (Frankfurt local time). The strike has already forced hundreds of cancelations of short haul trips within europe. Approximately 50% of the airport’s flights had been canceled on Thursday as a result of the scheduled walk outs. Fortunately long haul flights have been unaffected for the most part.
Lufthansa passengers affected by the Frankfurt strike can apply for a refund, rebook their ticket or choose to use rail if traveling within Germany.
Further strikes are likely however details surrounding them have not been released. Much of that will be based on how well negotiations go and if a settlement can be reached.
