This morning, Lufthansa’s newest aircraft, the Boeing 747-8i, entered passenger service as it departed Frankfurt and flew to Washington D.C. I had the opportunity to use Frankfurt’s Observation Terrace to capture the moments. Safe to say I had some serious goosebumps!
Currently I am enroute to Vienna and then on to Slovakia to visit with family. Over the next few days I’ll go into more details around the Lufthansa events in Frankfurt surrounding this inaugural flight. I also have video I captured showing the new plane being Christened by Frankfurt’s Fire Trucks. YouTube is asking for 2 hours to render the video, so it will have to wait until later. For now, here are some of the 527 photos I took just from this morning’s departure…..
looks like an old refurbished plane, they better buy a modern A380 instead
Fantastic!
Yeah, sorry Airbus, but the A30 just looks like a bloated guppy compared to this beauty!
I just missed the trip by 2 days, just got back.
I had goosebumps just looking at the pictures!
Great pics
beautiful!
