In a press release today Lufthansa announced that it will expand it’s Private Jet service to North America. This product already exists in Europe in partnership with NetJets Europe. NetJets US(A Berkshire Hathaway Company) will be Lufthansa’s North American partner in providing this new expansion of Lufthansa’s flight service. This service will be fully integrated with Lufthansa’s reservation systems and can be used in conjunction with booking normally scheduled Lufthansa and Swiss commericial flights.

East Meadow, NY, January 23, 2012 – Announced today, Lufthansa will introduce its premium Lufthansa Private Jet service to the North American market on February 1, 2012. Made possible by an expanded relationship with NetJets® Inc., the worldwide leader in private aviation, the new service builds upon the popular Lufthansa Private Jet product that is already operated in Europe in conjunction with NetJets Europe.* Lufthansa Private Jet will provide flights tailored to the customer’s itinerary throughout North America on a world-class fleet of aircraft managed and operated by NetJets.** Lufthansa Private Jet service in North America is available through an interchange program with NetJets Europe. Travel can be booked through Lufthansa and in seamless combination with transatlantic flights arriving or departing from the 21 North America destinations serviced by Lufthansa and SWISS or for direct point-to-point travel within the North America coverage area, which includes over 3,000 airports.***

With Lufthansa Private Jet, a dedicated customer care service team provides a unique single point of contact to fully address all passenger needs, from flight arrangements to ground transportation and special requests. Moreover, the price structure is based on the aircraft and estimated flight time, and imposes no additional charges per traveler or as the result of delays or other unforeseen circumstances.

Passengers also enjoy many ground services that are exclusive to Lufthansa Private Jet, including a personal escort and VIP transfer service between the long-haul Lufthansa and Private Jet flights, as well as access to Lufthansa’s award-winning premium lounges and partner lounges when traveling via one of Lufthansa’s 21 North American gateways. For an additional charge, limousine service from the airport to the traveler’s final destination is also available.
