Lufthansa recently updated their canceled flight list for August 31 and they are now canceling a fair amount of long haul flights from the USA.
As of now today’s flights from the USA from Atlanta, Seattle, Philadelphia, JFK (LH401) and Boston are canceled.
Here is Lufthansa’s latest updated list of cancelled flights.
I was on today’s LH 456 FRA to LAX and we departed about 40 minutes late but we did get a skeleton crew to operate the flight. All service was reduced but at least we got out during the strike while many didn’t.
I purchased a ticket Lufthansa for my mom for her to fly tomorrow on LH 433 from Chicago to Frankfurt and then on Croatian Airlines to meet me in Zagreb. I’ll be flying out of IAD tomorrow before her flight that evening at 22:20. Do you have any advice I can pass along to her, other than read this blog and link to the LH canceled flight list?
Thanks, Kim
I wish I did!
The best thing to do is for her to monitor Lufthansa’s website covering the cancelled flights: Click Here
A better idea of tomorrow’s strikes will be updated sometime during the over night hours (in the USA) so its tough to say what will be canceled or not. I’m flying to SIN tomrw myself so I do not know how much I can update during the day tomrw.
She can call LH reservations as well on: 1-800-645-3880 or 1-866-846-4283 later this afternoon or tonight since at that point I think LH will have an idea of what tomrw looks like.
With her flying from Chicago, there are many different ways they can re-accomodate her on United, Swiss, LOT, etc.
