UFO, the union representing the cabin crew that are striking against Lufthansa, has announced that strikes will continue on Tuesday.
In this this latest round of strikes, the union has suggested that they will last longer than the previous strike from last week that lasted 8 hours. It also said that it will be held at more airports. The strike last week was primarily targeted at Frankfurt and led to approximately 230 or so flight cancellations.
The union did not provide any information as to which airport or at what times the strikes would be carried out. I’ll try to keep tabs on any further announcements however I am in Singapore for the next few days and may not catch each bit of breaking news in time!

Thank you for this update. My parents will be flying through FRA on 9/4 and were unaware of this.
Am in LH F from IAD to TXL through FRA on tues/wed- any words of advice?
Return on Friday from BRU and again through FRA. Both longhauls on 747-8. Think those flights will be cancelled?
its hard to tell right which flights may be affected because the union did not specify the time of the strikes or the airports. the long haul flights tend to be the last ones to be affected but that does not really guarantee that your IAD flight will go as scheduled. Unfortunately the union puts LH ino a position where LH doesnt know anything until only a few hours prior to a strike. For the most updated info, use this link:

and that will show you LH’s latest flight cancellations. So far your FRA-TXL flight is not on there but in the past that flight is among the early ones to get canceled. an option that LH can and will provide is to a train from FRA to TXL if it works with your travel plans, otherwise they’ll reaccomodate you on a later flight. I wish I knew more, but the union loves playing this “surprise” game.
