Normally I am not one to write much about credit card offers. I leave that to the experts out there that really know how to take advantage of every nook and cranny with some of the offers that are out there.
However, I wanted to bring to your attention the Chase Hyatt Visa Card that brings with it some fantastic benefits, including free nights after your first purchase and Platinum level status in Hyatt’s Gold Passport program.
Another reason for me bringing this offer to your attention is to introduce new people to Hyatt. I have been a Diamond level member for almost a year and have had nothing but great experiences during my Hyatt stays in cities such as Hong Kong (Grand Hyatt), Hong Kong again (Hyatt Regency), Denver, Chicago and Montreal among others. With this current card offer, you can literally try Hyatt nearly at no cost and see what I have been raving about!
In 2 weeks, I’ll be staying at Hyatt properties in Istanbul and London. Quite honestly, I have stayed in nothing but Hyatt properties in the past year and can’t imagine staying anywhere else!!
Here are the details on the new card:
In the latest offering, you will earn 2 free nights after your first card purchase and depending on what Gold Passport level you have with Hyatt, those free nights can range from standard rooms to suites:
GOLD & NEW MEMBERS
2 Award Nights after your first purchasePLATINUM MEMBERS
2 Award Nights and 2 Suite Upgrades after your first purchaseDIAMOND MEMBERS
2 Award Nights in a Suite after your first purchase
As part of being a card holder, you will be given Gold Passport Platinum Status for as long as you are a cardholder. This includes:
A 15% point bonus on each stay
Preferred room including rooms on higher floors or larger rooms
Complimentary in-room Internet access
Extend your stay until 2:00 p.m. with a late checkout request
Expedited check-in at a dedicated area for elite members
Other Card Benefits:
3 Hyatt Gold Passport points for every $1 spent with your Hyatt Credit Card at all Hyatt properties.
1 Hyatt Gold Passport point for every $1 spent on all other purchases.
No limit to the points you can earn.
Redeem for Award Nights with as few as 5,000 points.
To learn more about this great new card, you can visit the Chase Hyatt Visa webpage here.
Please bear in mind that if you decide to apply for this card through the link I provided, I will be paid a modest finder’s fee for each successful application. If you’d rather not have me receive this benefit, you can visit Chase.com separately and apply that way.
@Kris According to the T/C’s, its good at any hyatt world wide:
GOLD & NEW MEMBERS:
You will qualify for and receive your two Hyatt Gold Passport® Free Night Awards after your first purchase. First purchase does not include using your account for balance transfers or cash advances, or using any checks that access your account. Each Free Night Award is valid for use for one (1) night in any available standard room within one year from issuance at any Hyatt Hotel or Resort worldwide. Awards are not transferable. After qualifying, please allow 10 days for your Free Night Award(s) to post to your Hyatt Gold Passport account. For complete terms and conditions of the Hyatt Gold Passport program including the use of Free Night Awards, see goldpassport.com.
It’s a shame I don’t have a Chase Signature card (90 day Hyatt Platinum trial), but I’ll be fine with 2 nights an no upgrades. I didn’t see any limitations on the two rooms for free, so does that mean I can try to get something at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong or Park Hyatt Sydney?
Thanks for the catch, I thought it was a new offer, since I don’t usually watch the credit card offers too often. This was the link that the affiliate had. I have no idea where Gary’s link is from.
This isn’t a new card, nor are these new benefits. The only thing that’s changed (slightly, and at least a week ago at that) is that you now get both nights after the first purchase instead of spending $1000 first. Also, Gary has a better offer listed with the first year’s fee waived.
