LUFTHANSA Premium Economy Sale: Ex-USA For As Low As $1300……

LUFTHANSA Premium Economy Sale: Ex-USA For As Low As $1300……

Lufthansa has started a Premium Economy fare sale that runs for the next 7 days with fares as low as I’ve ever seen since the roll-out of the product.    For example, New York – Milan can be had for as low as $1329, and Chicago – Athens for only $1479.

Attractive fares exist from all of LH’s North American gateways to most European destinations.   Most east cost fares range in the $1400-1600 area, the mid-west ranges in the $1500-1700 area, while the west coast runs about $1700 to $1900.    These fares are not much higher than peak economy class fares and you certainly pick up a much better value with Premium Economy seats.

The fares book into ‘N’ class so you’ll earn 100% of miles flown towards your Miles&More account balances.  Premium Economy tickets also allow you to check 2 bags (50 lbs each) free of charge.

The fares cover Spring and early Summer travel.  Specifically:

Departures must take place between April 13 and May 12.

Returns must take place between April 13 and August 12.

Weekend surcharges apply (so book Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday travel for best pricing).

Tickets must be purchased 28 days prior to departure.

LUFTHANSA 2 Day Sale To Eastern Europe Ends Tomorrow….

LUFTHANSA 2 Day Sale To Eastern Europe Ends Tomorrow….

Lufthansa launched a 48 hour sale earlier today focusing on travel between the USA and Eastern Europe.     Among the best deals is Boston – Budapest for only $589 with Tampa – St. Petersburg coming in at a close second for only $619.   Otherwise, most East Coast gateways range between $700 and $950 and the rest of the USA to Eastern Europe runs in the low $1000 area.

Keep in mind that you can use Lufthansa’s new ‘myOffer’ feature to upgrade from any Economy Class ticket to Premium Economy.  It’s not unreasonable to think that with a bit of luck you could turn these economy fares into very attractive Premium Economy deals.    A successful upgrade would include earning additional miles and a free second checked bag.

Terms of the fare sale:

Tickets must be purchased by February 24 (Midnight US Eastern).

Departures need to take place between March 15 and May 12, 2016.

Return travel must take place March 15 and August 12, 2016.

Tickets must be purchased at least 21 days prior to departure.

2 Days Left For Lufthansa Premium Economy Sale

2 Days Left For Lufthansa Premium Economy Sale

Lufthansa’s Premium Economy Sale comes to an end on February 19.    Some decent prices exist for several destinations throughout Europe.

One of best deals is a $969 offer between Tampa and St. Petersburg Russia.   Otherwise most European destinations from the East Coast range in the $1200-1350 range and the rest of the US to Europe runs anywhere from $1500-1900.    The East Coast fares are the most attractive since they rival economy fares during ‘high’ seasons.

For you money,  you get a better seat, more legroom and an overall better experience than Economy.   I’ve ‘tested’ the Premium Economy seat on flights between Frankfurt and Johannesburg and even after 10 hours each way, had very little to complain about and would do it again.

As far as rules go, departures must take place by March 17,2016 and return travel must be completed by June 17.   Tickets need to be purchased 14 days in advance of departure.   A $60 weekend surcharge may apply for Friday / Saturday / Sunday travel.

LUFTHANSA 72 Hour Fare Sale For Intra-Euro, Asia, and Mideast Travel

LUFTHANSA 72 Hour Fare Sale For Intra-Euro, Asia, and Mideast Travel

Lufthansa is running a 3 day deal where they’ve loaded more ‘Light’ fares for travel within Europe as well as from Europe to destinations in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

As far as the intra-European portion is concerned, most tickets range between €99 and €129 for departures from Germany.   Be mindful that these fares are booking into the ‘Light’ fare class so checked baggage would come at an additional cost.

For the ‘Intra-Europe’ part of the sale, tickets must be purchased by February 14.   Departures must take place between February 12 and June 30 while return travel must take place between February 19 and September 30.

For the international part of the sale, there are some great deals to take advantage of.   For example, Frankfurt – Johannesburg can be had for only €579, Bangkok for €549, Hong Kong for €549 and Delhi for €499.    There are a lot of other deals to be had for international travel.

The rules for the international fares are as follows:  Tickets must be purchased by February 23 and departures must take place between February 19 and June 30.  Return travel must take place between February 19 and September 30.

Remember that you can now use the new myOffer upgrade program on eligible international flights to upgrade from an Economy Class seat to Premium Economy.   For details and steps, please visit the myOffer webpage

LUFTHANSA Premium Economy Sale: Tampa Bay – St. Petersburg for only $959 leads the way…..

LUFTHANSA Premium Economy Sale: Tampa Bay – St. Petersburg for only $959 leads the way…..

Lufthansa’s Premium Economy fare sale between the USA and Europe has some attractive deals that are available for booking until the end of the month.   One of the best offers is between Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg (Russia) for only $959.    Granted that this is operated through their ‘JUMP’ LCC concept, but the seat and cabin is identical to the mainline version.

Otherwise, most of LH’s destinations in Europe can be reached from the East Coast in the $1,100 – $1,400 range while fares from the Midwest and West Coast start in the mid $1,500 area and work their way up to $1780 for departures from Houston and San Francisco.   These sale fares are booking into ‘N’ class so you’ll earn 100% of miles flown for your Miles & More account.

The fine print:

Fare sale ends on January 29, 2016

Departures must take place between January 31 and March 17, 2016.

Return travel must take place between January 31 and June 30, 2016.

Maximum stay of 3 months.

Tickets must be purchased 14 days ahead of departure date.
