Earlier this week, Lufthansa announced a down-gage in aircraft that will affect service between Frankfurt and Seoul, South Korea during February and March 2016.
Beginning on February 4, Lufthansa will replace the 747-8i that typically flies the route with a 747-400. The 744 will be a 3-class (Business / Prem. Economy / Economy) aircraft and will fly between Frankfurt and Seoul until March 25 at which point the 747-8i is expected to return to the route. First Class will not be available on the route during this time.
Typically these changes are made to reflect the passenger loads that LH expects to see during this time of year and the 747-8i will be redeployed on busier routes.
PLEASE NOTE that First Class will still be available between Munich and Seoul during this time frame.

Earlier this morning, Lufthansa announced that the last aircraft awaiting installation of the new First Class cabin has finally been retrofit.
In all, 76 long haul aircraft now feature the new cabin interior. This equates to 608 seats being available for passengers.
Lufthansa also provided guidance for the completion of Premium Economy and Business Class installations. Business Class retrofits are expected to be completed in September, followed closely by Premium Economy in October.

The Cabin Crew Union (UFO) has made a conciliatory overture and has offered to return to the negotiating table with Lufthansa as the 2 sides continue to try and reach an agreement.
Previously, the Union walked away from mediation and threatened to strike almost immediately (last week). However, their hawkish overtone has been put back in its cage and negotiations are set to resume tomorrow, 13 July.
With this development, it appears that the risk of strikes has all but been eliminated for the next 1 or 2 weeks.

Lufthansa has loaded an additional 1 million tickets in deep-discount fare classes for travel within Europe during late summer / early fall. The tickets will be available at these discounted rates until July 12, 2015.
Attractive rates include Munich – Rome for only €99, Frankfurt – Nice for €129, and many other European destinations from LH’s hubs in Germany.
The fares are available for departures between August 1 and October 31, 2015 and return travel must take place between August 2, 2015 and January 31, 2016.
A 1 night stay is required for destinations within Germany. A 3 day (weekday) stay is required for European destinations OR a Friday night OR a Saturday night stay. In other words, a weekend trip within Europe only requires one night.
The fares are non-refundable and are subject to a €65 rebooking fee.

Lufthansa has postponed the launch of new service between Frankfurt and Panama City by approximately 3 months.
Originally, Lufthansa was set to begin 5x/week service on November 16, 2015. It has now rescheduled the launch to March 2, 2016.
I suspect that the delay is due to low load/booking factors for the flights when reservations for the route opened back in February of this year.
