Lufthansa has updated their Winter 17/18 timetable to reflect an increase of A350 use between Munich and Boston. Before this update, LH planned to send the A350 to Boston only on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
With the latest update, the A350 will now fly daily between Munich and Boston at least for February and March. So between February 3 and March 28, passengers will be able to enjoy the newest aircraft type in the fleet.
As it stands now the A350 will still fly the route daily from October 29 to December 1, but for the height of the holiday season in December and January, the A346 will do the heavy lifting on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays.

Lufthansa announced that it will increase the amount of flights between Munich and Tokyo (HND) for the Fall/Winter timetable for 2017/18.
Effective on October 29, daily A346 flights will take place between MUC and HND. During past winter schedules, LH typically only flew the route 5x/week. The daily service during the winter now matches the daily flights found in the Summer schedule.

Lufthansa has taken delivery of their 3rd Airbus A350, D-AIXC, in Toulouse, France today. The aircraft is scheduled to be flown to Munich tomorrow where after a short period of fine tuning, will join ‘XA’ and ‘XB’ in daily service.
The delivery of the latest A350 makes it possible for Lufthansa to begin using the A350 on its Munich – Mumbai beginning on April 15. Ultimately 25 A350s will join the fleet and will be stationed between Frankfurt and Munich, as aircraft such as the A340 are phased out.

A few weeks ago, Lufthansa announced that Mumbai would be the 3rd destination to be served by the new A350s joining the fleet. They’ve further clarified the announcement to include the start date for the A350s service between Munich and Mumbai.
Beginning April 15, 2017 the A350 will take over for the A330 on the route. The flight numbers remain the same but the flight times have been updated to reflect the A350’s performance:
Flight LH764 will depart Munich at 11:40a and arrive in Mumbai at 11:05p.
Flight LH765 will depart Mumbai at 1:05a and arrive in Munich at 5:50a.
Previously, LH764 departed Munich at 11:35a and arrived in Mumbai at 11:55p, while LH765 departed at 1:25a and arrived in Munich at 5:50a.

More of my favorite shots from the time I spent in Munich a few weeks ago. Most of these images come from the Southern Runway which creates some great opportunities at ‘Sky Shots’ as well as having the airport in the background. Then again, there’s really no bad place around ‘MUC’ to watch them come and go! Enjoy!
For you photographer types, the equipment used was a Nikon D800 with a Sigma 150-600S. A nearly perfect formula considering the Megapixels of the D800 and the crispness of the Sigma.
