Late last night I received a message from a reader who asked if I could help him find a good home for 2 eVouchers that are expiring at the end of this year. Unfortunately (or fortunately for you?) he won’t be able to use the vouchers for his own travels, but has generously offered them up to a deserving traveller…..
After thinking on it for a few hours I think I’ve come up with the perfect way to get these vouchers into the hands of someone who can use them.
For the next 3 days, until midnight December 24, anyone who leaves their travel plans in the comment section of this post will have a chance to get the vouchers. Once the deadline passes, the person (grantor) donating these vouchers will review all entries and he will pick the one that he feels is the best one. One winner will receive both vouchers.
Keep in mind, your itinerary must already be booked. In order to get the vouchers, your PNR or Locator code must be used when the vouchers are redeemed by the grantor.
Even though the vouchers expire on December 31, they can be applied to bookings in the future. You do not need to travel by the end of this month.
Keep in mind that not every fare class is eligible for upgrade via voucher. It is your responsibility to know if your fares are upgradeable! The winner will not be awarded the vouchers if the fares in their itinerary are not eligible.
To learn about the various options, including fare classes and using the vouchers on Star Alliance partners, please visit the FlyerTalk thread that specifically addresses how to use the vouchers. Pay special attention to the ‘Wiki’ at the top of that thread. If you have any specific ‘what-if’ questions, feel free to post them in that thread.
You can also refer to the Miles & More ‘Terms and Conditions’ for additional rules governing the use of Vouchers. Please do not leave questions in the comment area as to how to use the vouchers. There’s no guarantee that I’ll be able to answer the question in a timely manner.

UPDATE: The vouchers have to ‘clear’ before expiring on December 31. Should the winner’s booking not ‘clear’ the upgrade at the time the upgrade is requested, another winner may be selected if the Grantor choses to do so.

To celebrate the release of the ‘Peanuts’ movie on 24 December, Lufthansa has launched an interactive contest that will award its Grand Prize Winner a travel voucher for €2500 valid for travel anywhere in the Lufthansa network.
The contest is broken up into 3 weekly games that require a bit of ‘skill’ to complete. Successfully completing each game garners you one entry into the drawing for prizes. You can earn one entry for each day you participate, ultimately having the ability to have 21 entries towards the prize pool.
Other prizes include private cinema showings of the movie, replica models of Schroeder’s Piano and bed linen sets featuring the Peanuts crew.
Unfortunately the contest is only open to ‘legal’ residents of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (terms/conditions).
The contest ends on 29 December and the winners will be selected on 11 January, 2016.

For those of who you are not aware, SWISS offers the opportunity to surprise friends and loved ones with in-flight treats during their SWISS flights.
Known as ‘SWISS Choice’, the program is available on flights that are at least 70 minutes long and anyone can participate. All you need to know are their flight details and you can make the rest of the arrangements on SWISS.com
To publicize the program, SWISS is running a contest that will award the winner their own ‘SWISS Choice’ experience. The winner can choose to take advantage of it for themselves or use the prize to surprise someone else flying on SWISS.
The winner of the contest will have to provide SWISS with the flight information for the flight on which the SWISS Choice will be used. This has to be done at least 4 days ahead of the travel date. The flight of course has to be operated by SWISS. The prize must awarded between December 14 and April 30. The deadline to enter the contest is November 15.

SWISS has unveiled the details of the contest they’ve been hinting at the last few days.
The contest will award up to 4 winners a trip to Switzerland where they will be looked after by a host who’ll be charged with showing the winner the best that Switzerland has to offer. The contest is open to everyone world-wide and will run for a month.
The Details:
To enter, you must submit a short video (1 minute or so) sharing why you should be chosen as the winner. Your video will then be posted on the contest’s website where your the public can vote for their favorite.
The top 20 vote getters will then move on to the next round where a panel of SWISS Judges will pick a winner. They judges will also pick 3 ‘wild card’ winners at their discretion that were not part of the top 20 vote getters.
The Prize:
Each of the 4 winners will receive an Economy Class ticket to Switzerland aboard SWISS. The winner will also receive a 4 day Swiss Rail pass, 2 nights accommodation in Zurich, 3 nights in other hotels throughout Switzerland, 1000 Swiss Francs ($1013.00) on a prepaid card and a Ski Pass.

If you live in Switzerland, you can also enter to win the role as one of the hosts. The entry process is the same as far as the video and voting is concerned. The hosts will also win the same hotel accommodations and extras that the prizer winners receive. In addition, the host will win a ticket to anywhere in the world that SWISS serves. According to the fine print, it looks as thought 20 Host roles will be awarded.

Lufthansa Cargo has launched a new contest that will award the lucky winner 2 Business Class tickets to anywhere on the Lufthansa network. It appears that the contest is open to anyone, anywhere.
The catch?
All you have to do is snap a photo of your favorite ‘Street Food’ or ‘Street Food Vendor’ and tell LH why it’s your favorite. Your entry will be judged by a panel from Lufthansa Cargo and a winner will be randomly drawn from a pool of finalists.
Out of all the photos entries, 200-300 finalists will be selected for a book that Lufthansa Cargo will publish for use with their clients and employees. These finalists will all receive a copy of the book as well.
