SWISS USA: Enter Contest To Win BUSINESS CLASS Tickets To Europe!!

SWISS USA: Enter Contest To Win BUSINESS CLASS Tickets To Europe!!

It’s always a great contest when Business Class Tickets are the prize and this time it is SWISS who is giving away a pair of Business Class tickets from the USA to Switzerland.

The contest includes a 1 night stay at Schloss Schauenstein where you will also dine at their 3 Michelin Star restaurant.   After that experience, you’ll be whisked off to Rockresort where you’ll spend an additional 3 nights.    You’ll also receive a pair of Swiss Rail passes to help you get around.

To enter, visit the contest’s entry page where you’ll need to provide your contact info along with a brief statement as to why you would like to dine at Schloss Schauenstein.  As part of the process, you can gain additional entries by inviting your Facebook friends to enter.    Should any of them enter, you’ll get another entry for yourself.

LUFTHANSA Business Class Holiday Special: USA To Europe As Low As $2100!

LUFTHANSA Business Class Holiday Special: USA To Europe As Low As $2100!

To complement the First Class Fare Sale currently underway, LUFTHANSA has also lowered their Business Class fares for the Holiday Season.    These kind of fare sales are an annual event each holiday season where passengers can usually save upwards of 50% or more from regular fare rates.

The highlight for this sale is for travel between New York and Dusseldorf for only $2100.   Otherwise most East Coast departures to Lufthansa’s European destinations range between $2200 and $2600.   Departures from the West Coast start at only $3200.     The best value as far as cents-per-mile is concerned is perhaps Houston – Istanbul which is showing for only $2990.

As with the First Class Sale currently underway, these fares are available only until November 17, 2014.  Departures must take place between December 15 and January 3.   Return flights must take place between December 22 and January 17.  The fares are valid for flights operated by Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian, Brussels, Air Canada and United.

My personal recommendation is to fly aboard Lufthansa, Austrian or SWISS operated flights.  All have excellent Business Class cabins and hospitality.   In my opinion your best experience may come aboard a Lufthansa 747-8i which are all outfitted with the new Business Class seat that has been very popular with passengers.  For the best 747-8i experience, sit in the upper deck — it provides a very quiet and ‘private’ jet type of an experience.

Sneak Peek Inside LUFTHANSA’s NEW Senator & Business Lounge in London Heathrow’s New Queen’s Terminal

Sneak Peek Inside LUFTHANSA’s NEW Senator & Business Lounge in London Heathrow’s New Queen’s Terminal

With the opening of Heathrow’s new Queen’s Terminal in June, Star Alliance members began to transfer their operations to the brand new facility.    As part of the move, Lufthansa has installed a fantastic new SENATOR & BUSINESS Lounge for passengers to enjoy.   Though the new terminal has been open since June, the construction of the Lounges was not completed until recently, just ahead of Lufthansa’s scheduled date to transfer operations to ‘T2’.    A select few had an opportunity to gain a sneak peek of the new Lufthansa Lounges before the flying public could get its hands on it and shared their photos.

A big thanks to Vielfliegertreff’s RCS (akaFlyerTalk’s RCS85551)  and FlyerTalk’s Oliver2002 for providing all of the photos of the new Lounge that you’ll see below.   You’ll notice that the theme of the lounge is consistent with that of the new Lounges that you’ll find in Frankfurt, with new seat designs and separate seating areas based on passenger’s needs.   From first glance, it looks as though Lufthansa will recreate the same Senator & Business Class experience as we are accustomed to in Germany.

To learn more about Terminal 2 and the additional amenities that you’ll find, please visit Heathrow’s official website for T2.
