LUFTHANSA Business Class Sale For Opening Of Christmas Markets

LUFTHANSA Business Class Sale For Opening Of Christmas Markets

LUFTHANSA’s current Business Class fare sale covers travel to Europe between late November and early December and is time perfectly for the opening of the Christmas Market season.

As most of you know, Cities, Towns, and Villages throughout Europe show their Christmas spirit by converting their Plazas and Squares into places where you can enjoy local crafts, great food and mulled wine.  It’s one of my favorite times of year to be in Europe.

The fare sale shows fares as LOW as $2300 between New York and Frankfurt.   Other east coast departures range between $2300 and $2800 to a variety of German cities.   West coast fares start in the low $3000 range.     Fares to European cities within LH’s network start in the low $3000s and range up to about $3700.

In past sales, the prices were valid for travel throughout most of November and December, however in the case of this fare, the travel period is only a week long.

Departures must take place between November 21 and November 27, while return travel must take place between November 26 and December 2 and tickets must be purchased 60 days in advance of your departure.  The sale ends on September 28.

Pay attention when booking your ticket.   Lufthansa, Air Canada, United, SWISS, Austrian and Brussels are all eligible to operate your flights and the miles you earn can vary depending on which airline you fly.

LUFTHANSA Premium Economy Sale Ex-USA

LUFTHANSA Premium Economy Sale Ex-USA

LUFTHANSA is currently running a Premium Economy fare sale for travel between the USA and Europe during the 4th quarter of this year.

Fares, as usual when Prem Eco goes on sale, are attractive.  For example New York to Milan can be had for only  $1500.

Most departures from the East Coast range between $1550 and $1700, while departures from the Midwest and West Coast range between $1700 and $1850.

The difference between Economy and Premium Economy on Lufthansa is fairly significant.  Not only do you get a much more comfortable seat with more leg room and seat pitch, you’ll also experience enhanced dining and a generous checked baggage allowance.  For more details on other perks visit LH’s dedicated Premium Economy webpage.

I have experienced the new Premium Economy seat on flights between New York and Frankfurt.  It is a perfectly comfortable seat and I had no problem being comfortable and getting a few hours of sleep during the flight.   I sensed that the cabin crew was a bit more attentive to the Premium Economy passengers as compared to the economy passengers.  Perhaps because it is a relatively small ‘cabin’, but nevertheless I had a great experience and would recommend to anyone to fly Premium Economy.

In fact, part of my segments to Johannesburg ZA next week are in Premium Economy as well……unless an upgrade clear or my wife lets me have her First Class seats  😉 .
