More of my favorite shots from the time I spent in Munich a few weeks ago. Most of these images come from the Southern Runway which creates some great opportunities at ‘Sky Shots’ as well as having the airport in the background. Then again, there’s really no bad place around ‘MUC’ to watch them come and go! Enjoy!
For you photographer types, the equipment used was a Nikon D800 with a Sigma 150-600S. A nearly perfect formula considering the Megapixels of the D800 and the crispness of the Sigma.
If you missed the previous posts from the MUC spotting, here are the links:

by Lufthansa Flyer | Mar 2, 2017 | Business Class, Fare Sale, Featured, Swiss |
SWISS has launched their Spring Business Fare Sale to Europe with fares starting in the $2500 range. The best prices can be found from US Eastern gateways such as Boston, New York, and Washington. As you move into the midwest, fares from Chicago start in the $2800 range and from the west coast, it will only take $3100 to get to Europe.
The lowest fares are to destinations in Switzerland, Spain, or Italy, but the sale does apply to all of SWISS’ European destinations.
The fare calendar suggests that all travel needs to take place with April. For some reason the link to the fare terms and conditions that SWISS has provided on their site reflect a fare sale from December.

My wife forwarded me an email earlier today that she received from United giving her the opportunity to earn up to an 80% bonus for miles purchased into her Mileage Plus account. Good news indeed! It’s one of the best offers that I think I’ve ever seen from UA. Her offer was interesting because everywhere else I look, I only saw a 75% bonus maximum. She backed up the truck and bought her full allotment for 2017.
When I logged into my account to purchase miles, I was offered a 75% discount for the same promo so it may be that your mileage bonus may vary based on your status level or length of MileagePlus membership.
Regardless, when an opportunity comes along that offers more than a 50% bonus to buy miles for MileagePlus, it’s usually a fairly good value considering the redemption opportunities that exist for Lufthansa, SWISS, Brussels, and Austrian.
According to the fine print, it looks like this promo is in place until April 20, 2017.
