AUSTRIAN Adds 100,000 Tickets To Red|Ticket Inventory For May & June

Austrian’s popular red|ticket program typically represents the lowest fares that Austrian offers for flights both in Europe and Internationally.   For May and June, they are increasing the amount of red|ticket fares by an additional 100,000 tickets which creates a larger inventory of deep discount tickets.  These tickets are specifically for intra-European travel with fares starting as low as €97 between Vienna and Stockholm.

In all, there are 26 destinations with red|ticket inventory and cover most of Austrian’s popular European destinations plus Russia and Turkey during the promotion for May and June.   Most fares range from the low to mid €100 range and include all taxes, fees, etc.  Flights must be operated by Austrian (Tyrolean Airways).

AUSTRIAN’s ‘myPackage’ Theme-Travel Opportunities

AUSTRIAN’s ‘myPackage’ Theme-Travel Opportunities

Austrian’s leisure travel service, myHoliday, has recently introduced dedicated offerings designed to show off Austria and its wonderful hospitality. Known as myPackage the program is designed to attract visitors to Austria by offering 11 packages to showcase Austria’s most popular destinations and experiences.

The packages are diversified and target Culture, Gastronomy, Romantic Getaways and Skiing. For example, one of the Culture-based packages focuses on the ‘Sound Of Music’.  Included in that package is a one way airline ticket from Vienna to Salzburg, a return train ticket from Salzburg to Vienna, 3 nights in a 4-star hotel and a Sound of Music tour that will take you to the locations used in making the movie.

Just a tiny glimpse of Salzburg from Mirabell Gardens, one of the locations where ‘Sound Of Music’ was filmed.

As an aside, I had a chance to visit Salzburg on a quick day trip from Munich last year, and can’t recommend Salzburg enough!  One of my favorite places that I’ve visited in Austria (or Europe at large for that matter).

For skiers, myPackage offers 3 Skiing themed getaways with one package specifically focused for a ‘Skiing’ family.  For Romantics, packages are available for fantastic hotels and romantic dinners in some of  Vienna’s most historic locales.  For lovers of Opera, there are dedicated packages designed to maximize experiences at the Vienna Konzerthaus.

These kind of packages are usually best suited for someone visiting the region for the first time and just wants to see the highlights of the area or for those who are looking for a turn-key solution where they don’t have to worry about booking all the different components of a trip.  It truly becomes a one-stop ‘Holiday’ booking service.

The packages are bundled by AUSTRIAN’s travel agent partners and can easily be integrated into existing bookings and itineraries issued through Austrian Airlines. To see the complete list of  myPackage itineraries on offer from Austrian, please visit their dedicated portal.
