SWISS Fare Sales Ex-USA: Good Business and Economy Deals!

SWISS Fare Sales Ex-USA: Good Business and Economy Deals!

SWISS is running concurrent fare sales for travel between the USA and SWISS destinations throughout Europe.

For Spring travel, SWISS is offering attractive economy fares that start as low as the mid $700 range (Newark – Milan) for travel in April and May.   Otherwise, most east coast fares to Europe are under $1000.   Fares from the west coast start at approximately $1100 (Los Angeles – Berlin) and range to approximately $1400 on the high end (LAX  to Paris or Luxembourg).

For Summer travel, a Business Class fare sale is in place that has most fares from the east coast ranging in the very low $3000 range to most destinations.   Fares from the west coast typically run in the $4000-4300 range.   The valid travel period for the Business Class sale is between June 29 and September 3.

Keep in mind that the fare sale covers departures & arrivals taking place between Monday and Thursday.  Weekend travel will incur a small surcharge.

AUSTRIAN Business Class Fare Sale!

AUSTRIAN Business Class Fare Sale!

It’s not often that you see AUSTRIAN come through with a Business Class fare sale for their fantastic product but when they do, its something to take advantage of!

The fare sale covers travel between their USA gateways and a variety of destinations throughout Austria and is valid for travel between June 26 and September 3rd.  This makes it an extremely attractive deal since it covers the peak travel season in Europe.

You can use this fare to get you to Austria and from there plan additional travel throughout Europe since airfares are typically low between European cities.

Fares from New York JFK and Newark are in the low $3000 range, while travel from Chicago and Washington is approximately $3500.

I’ve sat in the Austrian Business Class seat many times and it is among my very favorite when it comes to traveling between the US and Europe.

Vienna is a very easy airport to ‘manage’ and connections to other flights are about as easy as you’ll find anywhere.    Its fast becoming a great alternative to other large European airports.

The fare sale is in place between now and March 30 – I suggest you try to take advantage!

SWISS Fare Sale: USA To Switzerland For As Low As $850…..

SWISS is currently running a 2-day fare sale featuring attractive fares from US gateways to a variety of Swiss destinations including Basel, Zurich, Geneva, and Lugano.   The fares cover Spring and Summer travel and are worth considering if you are thinking about a Holiday to Switzerland to help you forget about a fairly brutal winter.

The best fares include Boston and New York where for only $840 you can get to Basel or Zurich.  Otherwise most East Coast Gateway fares run in the high $800 to low $900 range.    West Coast Gateways (LAX/SFO) fares to Switzerland range from the mid-$1200s to low $1300 range.

The fare sale ends on March 4 and covers travel dates as follows:

Departures need to take place between April 6 and May 15.

Reminder: LUFTHANSA USA Business Class Sale Ends Today!

Reminder: LUFTHANSA USA Business Class Sale Ends Today!

Just a reminder that the Lufthansa Business Class Fare Sale that I mentioned back in January ends today!  The sale is valid for travel during most of the summer and well into the fall.

Most fares between the East Coast and a variety of European destinations range from the low to mid $2000 range, while the central US and west coast ranges between $3000 and $4000.   There are a few anomalies like Detroit-Rome which is pricing at $4400 but that is exception and not the rule for this sale.

The valid travel dates for this promo are as follows:

Departures must take place between June 25 and August 29, 2015.

Return Travel must take place between July 7 and November 29, 2015.

Fares are valid for Monday through Thursday travel.  Weekends will incur a surcharge.

Be mindful when you book your tickets since the operating carrier can be Lufthansa, Austrian, SWISS, Brussels, Air Canada or United.  My suggestion is to focus on the first 4 carriers that I mentioned.   You won’t regret it!

LUFTHANSA’s Million Ticket Sale This Weekend!

LUFTHANSA’s Million Ticket Sale This Weekend!

Throughout the year, Lufthansa will occasionally run a fare sale where they allocate a million tickets at discounted prices for travel within Germany and Europe.

In the latest version, the deal runs this through weekend (between now and 22 February) and is valid for travel between April and September.

From what I see fares are about €10-€40 lower than usual so it makes for a compelling fare sale.   Keep in mind that the sale expires midnight CET on 22 February or when 1 million tickets have been issued from this promo.

The terms of the fare sale are as follows:

Departures need to take place between 1 April and 30 June, 2015.

Returns need to take place between 2 April and 30 September, 2015.

Minimum Stay Requirements: 1 night for German destinations.  For all other destinations it is one of the following:  3 nights OR a Friday Night OR a Saturday night stay.

Maximum Stay:  3 Months.
