Lufthansa is running an attractive Business Class fare sale through the rest of January for travel during the Summer between the US and Europe. This sale is a bit better than most Business Class sales with fares are as low as $2150 (NYC – Dusseldorf) .
Most fares between the East Coast and a variety of European destinations range from the low to mid $2000 range, while the central US and west coast ranges between $3000 and $4000. There are a few anomalies like Detroit-Rome which is pricing at $4400 but that is exception and not the rule for this sale.
The fare sale ends on January 30 and is valid for departures between June 25 and August 29. Return travel needs to take place between July 7 and November 29, creating a fairly large window of opportunity. The fare sale is valid for travel between Monday and Thursday. Weekend flights will incur a surcharge.
Be mindful when you book your tickets since the operating carrier can be Lufthansa, Austrian, SWISS, Brussels, Air Canada or United. My suggestion is to focus on the first 4 carriers that I mentioned. You won’t regret it!

SWISS is running a very brief 2 day New Year’s sale for travel from North America to most of their European destinations. Fares from East Coast gateways range from $690 (JFK – Kiev) to approximately $900 for JFK – Venice. The majority of the fares however settle in the high $700 – low $800 range. Fares from the Central US and West Coast range between $850 to $950 for most destinations.
The sale runs through midnight EST on January 7 and the fares are valid for travel between January 12 and March 12, 2015. Traveling on weekends may incur a surcharge.

SWISS is running an economy fare sale for travel from the USA to a variety European destinations during the first quarter of 2015. Fares are as low as $750 (New York – Naples) and run up to the $1000-1200 range for most flights departing Los Angeles and San Francisco. Fares from SWISS’ other US gateways fall in between this range.
The best availability and pricing is found for mid-week departures and returns (Tuesday through Thursday). Fares that involve departures and arrivals during weekends carry a small surcharge. Also, when I was doing a few sample bookings to confirm the fare details, I found that it takes a 7 day stay to get the lowest fares during this sale.
The fares are valid for travel between January 9 and March 12, 2015.

Lufthansa has launched an attractive fare sale for Premium Economy travel between London and a variety of destinations around the world. The sale is scheduled to last only until Tuesday, December 9.
The best deal appears to be for travel to India where you’ll find fares as low as £719 for Bengaluru and Delhi. Otherwise most of the fares range between £1000 and £1300 for Lufthansa’s Premium Economy destinations around the world.

Keep in mind that with Premium Economy travel you’ll enjoy certain benefits including an increased baggage allowance (2 bags / 23kg each instead of just one bag), 50% more leg room compared to Economy, enhanced dining, an Amenity Kit and the ability to access Lufthansa’s Business Lounges & Welcome Lounge in (FRA only) for a small fee. To promote the introduction of Lufthansa’s new Premium Economy cabin, they’re offering a ‘farely’ attractive sale from Germany to destinations worldwide. The destinations are limited to those that will feature the new seat but the fare sale is good for travel well into 2015 and 2016.
These fares are only a bit higher that typical economy fares but with the new Premium Economy seat you’ll have far more leg room, a more comfortable seat, enhanced catering, special luggage allowance and even an amenity kit! The fare covers flights from most German originating cities to Bangkok, Beijing, Bengaluru, Bogota, Boston, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Delhi, Denver, Detroit, Hong Kong and Houston and several others. You’ll notice that not every Premium Economy destination is included in this sale. This is due to the fact that some routes will not see the new seat until well into 2015 and there could be adjustments to that timeline.
Fares range from as low as €999 (Frankfurt – Delhi) to as much as €1499 (Frankurt – Nagoya or Osaka).
The fare sale continues until December 9, 2014, however there are unique terms and conditions based on your destination:
North America: This fare is NOT AVAILABLE for travel between June 27 and August 30, 2015.
Africa, Asia, South America: Minimum stay is 6 days.
Middle East: Minimum stay is 6 days OR a Saturday or Sunday.
Otherwise, departures must take place between November 22, 2014 and October 31, 2015 while return travel must take place between November 23, 2014 and January 31, 2016.
Additionally, you must purchase your ticket at least 1 day prior to departure (No last minute surcharge apparently). The maximum stay for this fare is 90 days.
LH does not usually provide such an open ended fare sale where travel can be planned out all the way to 2016 and I think it is a safe bet that these kind of fares sales for Premium Economy will be few and far between based on the occupancy projections that Lufthansa is forecasting for the product.
