LUFTHANSA Expands Service To Iran

Lufthansa has announced that it will be adding service to Tehran, Iran with the resumption of flights between Munich and Tehran on April 14, 2016.   This compliments the existing 747-400 service in place between Frankfurt and the Iranian capital.

Citing the relief of sanctions, Lufthansa is returning to Munich-Tehran after a 10 year absence with 3x/week service and will use Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route.

Detailed Flight Info:

Lufthansa LH602 will depart Munich at 10:10p and arrive in Tehran at 5:20a the following morning.  Total flight time is 4 hours 40 minutes.

Lufthansa LH603 will depart Tehran at 6:55a and arrive in Munich at 9:30a.  Total flight time is 5 hours 5 minutes.

LUFTHANSA Announces NEW USA Destination!

LUFTHANSA has announced that it will be adding to their US destinations.

Beginning on April 29, passengers will be able to fly between San Jose, California and Frankfurt.  The new service will operate 5 days week (No service on Tuesdays or Thursdays) and will be be flown by a ‘mainline’ 3-class (Business / Premium Economy /Economy) A340 aircraft until June 30 when the route will transfer to Lufthansa’s ‘Cityline’ division.

Once under Cityline it will still be flown by an A340, but a higher density version as far as passenger capacity is concerned.  Fewer Business Class and Premium Economy seats will be available once that transition takes place on June 30.

 

The flight details are as follows:

Flight LH488 will depart FRANKFURT at 10:40a and arrive in SAN JOSE (SJC) at 1:40p.

Flight LH489 will depart SAN JOSE at 3:20p and arrive in FRANKFURT at 11:35 the following morning.

AUSTRIAN Launches New Asia Destination

Beginning on April 4, 2016, Austrian will begin service between Vienna and Shanghai, China.

As it stands now, OS will fly between the 2 cities 5 times a week and will use their 777 aircraft on the route.  Flights will depart Vienna at 1:20p and will depart Shanghai at 10:50a (local times).

The outbound flight will be OS75 and will taken approximately 10 1/2 hours, while the return flight will be  OS76 with a scheduled flight time of approximately 11 1/2 hours.

BRUSSELS Adds New German Destination

Beginning September 14, Brussels Airlines will begin service between Brussels, Belgium and Bremen, Germany.

The flights will operate daily Monday through Friday under the following schedule:

Flight SN2496 will depart Bremen at 7:00p, arriving in Brussels  at 8:10p

Flight SN2597 will depart Brussels at 9:00p and arrive in Bremen at 10:10p

According to Brussels Airlines, this will be the first time that Brussels and Bremen will have direct service between one another.
