SWISS is currently running a contest that awards a very lucky winner 2 BUSINESS CLASS tickets for travel from the USA to ZURICH as well as 5 nights at the Zurich Marriott Hotel.
The contest is being held in association with Passport Magazine and their ‘Taste Of Zurich’ Promotion celebrating the city’s culinary gems. As part of the prize package the winner and their guest will also dine at Rico’s Restaurant, Restaurant Terzo and Bottega Berta.
The window to enter the contest is open until August 15 so there is plenty of time. You’ll want to use this time to share the contest with all of your Facebook friends because for every one of your friends that enters, you will receive an additional entry.

Last week, the Business Traveller Awards were announced in Germany for a variety of travel related categories. Among them, SWISS, Lufthansa and Austrian took 1st, 2nd & 3rd respectively in the category that awarded best ‘Business Airline for Business Travellers in Germany and Europe’. The win for SWISS was its 2nd consecutive for the category.
SWISS was also recognized by readers for ‘Best Airline For International Business Travellers‘ and was awarded a respectable 3rd place for the category.
Additionally, Lufthansa took home 1st place for “Best Website For Business Travellers“.
The Business Traveller Awards are awarded on an annual basis and are determined by reader balloting.

SWISS is running an attractive Business Class sale for travel originating in Zurich to a variety of destinations in Asia, The Middle East and even South America!
During the promotion, fares are at least 50% off of their regular rates and in some cases near 60% off (Zurich – Sao Paulo). The window for this sale is open until July 14. Departures must take place between July 1 and August 31 and return flights must take place by September 8. A Saturday or Sunday night stay is required as part of the terms/conditions.

Bangkok : 2499.
Delhi: 2499.
Hong Kong 2499.
Beijing – 1999.

Considering the wonderful Business Class product offered by SWISS, fares like this are a great value and do not come up often, at least to this level of discount. I assume these fares will be limited so take advantage of them as soon as possible!
There is also a bit of a sale to USA destinations with most fares ranging between 3200-3700CHF to most East Coast destinations and slightly higher to Chicago and the west coast. Swiss is giving away 3 pairs of tickets to specific concerts during the Montreux Jazz Festival which will be held in Lake Geneva from July 4 to 19. The contest will give you your choice of tickets to one of 3 concerts: Amy MacDonald on July 4, Outkast on July 9 or Stephan Eicher on July 12. As part of completing your entry, you’ll need to chose one of these concerts.
The contest does have a ‘skill’ question that must be answered as part of the entry. For those not familiar with European contest rules, sweepstakes in Europe must generally have a skill component to them in order to be legal. For this contest, you must answer a question based on SWISS’ current Domestic European Business Class Upgrade offer. This deal offers passengers a 50 percent discount if they upgrade their Economy Class ticket to Business Class for flights within Europe. Hint, the answer lies in the middle of the choices given for the question….
The deadline to enter the contest is June 22. From reading the T/C’s it is not clear who is or isn’t eligible to enter, however the entry form does have a field for ‘Country’ so I assume at the very least that most of Europe can enter.

Preface: I am not 100% certain if this contest is open to everyone in any country of if there are eligibility restrictions. The terms/conditions do not clearly spell out participation rules. So you might be able to enter, but you may not be eligible.
To celebrate the Swiss National Team’s participation in the World Cup that starts this week, SWISS is giving away a pair of Economy Tickets to a lucky winner for every match that the team plays. The tickets will be valid for travel anywhere on SWISS’ world-wide network.
To enter, all you have to do is visit THIS LINK and enter your guess as to how many goals the team will score against their opponents. You’ll have to go to the Contest Entry Site ahead of each match and make your guess for the game.
As I mentioned, this contest may not be open to everyone. It may only be offered for residents of Switzerland, but I have not seen that anywhere in the T/Cs. I was able to enter successfully, so perhaps it is open to all. Regardless, it will only take you a minute to enter so even if your entry is not eligible, you didn’t waste much of your time.
